What We Do

Biochrom is a leading manufacturer of scientific instruments with over 40 years experience. The Biochrom Group consists of five well known instrument brands covering UV/Vis spectroscopy, microplate instrumentation and amino acid analysis. Our products are trusted by hospitals and laboratories worldwide and we are a valued OEM partner of many of the world's finest scientific instrumentation companies.

Although the name Biochrom may not be familiar, our instruments and brands will be. The Biochrom UV spectroscopy range includes famous iinstrument brands such as Novaspec, Ultrospec, and GeneQuant, plus the Biochrom Libra and and Biochrom WPA brands.  Those in Life science and science education will be familiar with the Biochrom WPA range of great value spectrophotometers and colorimeters with a tiny footprint combined with the technical performance and analytical power of much larger (and more expensive) instruments. The Biochrom Libra range of spectrophotometers are designed to meet the full range of spectroscopy requirements for industrial, analytical and Life Science applications, from simple hand held colorimeters to full pharmacopoeia compliant systems.

Biochrom also manufactures two major brand names in the microplate instrumentation market - Biochrom Asys and Biochrom Anthos. These originated in Austria as Asys Hitech and Anthos Labtec  and today these are regarded worldwide as one of the premier ranges of highly reliable mircrotitre plate readers and washers. All Biochrom Asys and Biochrom Anthos products offer laboratories excellent performance at a sensible price.

Biochrom is a world leader in amino acid analysis. The Biochrom 30+ is recognized as the gold standard dedicated amino acid analyzer used by hospitals, pharmaceutical and industrial labs worldwide. It allows users to accurately detect and quantify amino acids and their derivatives in complex samples. Applications are available both for clinical analysis and screening of metabolic disorders, for drug synthesis, infusion fluids and for industrial applications in food, beverage and feedstuffs.

Capabilities

Biochrom is well versed in working with companies to deliver specific solutions to their problems, whether it be targeted analysis of chemical compounds using Biochrom's Amino Acid technology, customised plate readers and washers for embedding into more complex clinical analyses, through to novel technologies for microassays of very small volume samples.

Biochrom has developed a whole suite of compact plate readers, spectrophotometers and associated modular software , hardware and communications technologies that can be readily re-configured into new configurations.
