Biochrom 20 Service Policy

Biochrom's policy is to support instruments 7 years from date of last manufacture. Guaranteed service support on the Biochrom 20 will end in 2006.

Due to the age of PC's we will no longer be able to fully support EZChrom Data Stations. The difficulty in obtaining parts for older PCs will mean that the unit will have to be replaced and also EZChrom upgraded to EZChrom Elite.

Upgrade Electronic Ceramic Pumps for Biochrom 20 and Pump Head Upgrades for Biochrom 20 Plus

The new ceramic pumps give total control of the flow rate via the control software (Only Manual control is available for Biochrom 20). The metal free pumping surfaces ensure constant flow, low pulsation and eliminate corrosion. Very little maintenance is required because all the pumps have an automatic piston flush system.

The standard reagent pipe can be upgraded to Peek pipe, giving the benefits of oxygen impermeability and more reproducible reagent response on start-up

Upgrade One way valve Column Protection Kit for Biochrom 20 80-2110-92. As found in the Biochrom 20 Plus and Biochrom 30 series a one way valve is fitted to the post column system to prevent any flow back of liquids to the analytical column.

80-2109-73 Upgrade Autoloader Biochrom 20 to Autosampler Biochrom 20 using Upgrade Kit

This kit is for existing Autoloader Biochrom 20 users who wish to upgrade their system to use the Autosampler. The kit contains the Autosampler, cables, manual and software. The computer needs to be running Windows XP and have a spare serial port to connect to the autosampler. The Code Number for this kit is 80-2109-73.

The Autosampler Option gives the customer the ease of use of an injection straight from vials. The standard tray contains 84 2ml vials with cooling for sample stability. Three methods of sample loading are available: flushed loop, partial loopfill and microlitre pick-up depending on sample volume. Volumes from 1 to 5000 µl can be loaded depending on the sample loop used (a 200 µl loop is fitted as standard).
