This applies to both Biochrom 20 Software version 3.x and Biochrom 20 Plus Software Version 1.x running on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000. This situation is caused by the fact that the Biochrom 20 windows are active but are open in a position that is outside the scope of the desktop. The simplest way is to reset all of the Biochrom 20 Windows to their default setting. It does however require you to edit the Windows Registry so you must be careful not to alter any other settings as the Registry is fundamental to the correct operation of Windows. If you feel unsure about tackling this task then contact your IT department and show them this FAQ.
Firstly ensure that the Biochrom 20 software is closed. As you cannot see the window this is achieved by right clicking on the Biochrom 20 icon in the Taskbar and choosing close.
Now choose Start, Run and type Regedit and this will open the Registry Editor.
Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Biochrom, Biochrom 20 Plus (or Biochrom 20), Instrument 1 and then delete the "Position Key".
To delete the key right click on the "Position Key" and choose delete.
Close the Registry Editor and restart the Biochrom 20 software. The Biochrom 20 window will now appear, however if you had any other windows open you will have to reopen them and reposition them to where they were before the problem.
If this does not answer your question or solve your problem, then please contact us at support@biochrom.co.uk detailing your question or the problem you are experiencing. Please list if relevant the instrument, software and version numbers you are running, and enclose any relevant data files, etc.
