PEEK Columns are very durable and if the following information is adhered to they should last the lifetime of the instrument.
If a column end fitting develops a leak, it should be stripped down and thoroughly cleaned inside and out with distilled water. It is essential that all components are totally clean and free of deposits. On reassembling the column the filter must be replaced since this forms a compressible seal for the column.
WARNING! EXCESSIVE OVER-TIGHTENING WILL NOT CURE LEAKS, IT WILL RUIN THE COLUMN.
