Question

How should I store my capsules?

Answer

If capsules are to be stored for a long time it is possible to wash them with distilled water and then with an alcohol such as propan-1-ol. Air can then be blown through the capsule to remove the alcohol and the they can be stored in a dry environment. Alternatively the capsules can be left in an aqueous solution containing an anti-bacterial agent in a fridge. The anti-bacterial agent should always be present to prevent growth inside the capsule during storage, a 0.1% Phenol solution is satisfactory for this purpose.
