Microplate Instrumentation

Question

Why do I need to calibrate filters when using the DigiRead software to manage the UVM340?

Answer

The Biochrom Asys UVM340 does not use filters, instead it uses a monochromator which allows for the selection of any exact wavelength between 340 and 1000 nm at 1 nm intervals. Originally designed to manage filter-based systems, Digiread uses the "Calibrate Filters" function to select wavelengths  for measurement on this microplate reader.
