Microplate Readers

The Biochrom Asys UVM340 is a PC-controlled, monochromator-based absorbance reader ideal for multi-user labs running a variety of assays including those that require spectral and linear scanning. The monochromator system means any wavelength can be measured.

• Choice of software packages

Software
Two software programs are supplied as standard with the UVM340. DigiRead is used for single or dual point absorbance measurements. ScanPlus is used for wavescans as well as single and dual point absorbance measurements.

• Standard absorbance assays including: endpoint and total protein assays (BCA, Lowry, Bradford)
• ELISA assays
• Cell-based assays requiring shaking where cells need to stay in solution
• Assays measuring the changes of absorbance of NADH at 340 nm
• Contamination detection, peak absborbance detection and product formation using spectral scanning
• Verification of agglutination and coagulation studies where reading are required across the well using linear scanning
• Multi-user labs where users are performing many assays requiring the instrument to be able to run at many different wavelengths
